The Trial of the Lake quest requires you to dive deep into lake Elune'Ara in Moonglade, to find a shiny bauble. Then, you need to go to the Shrine of Remulos to the Northwest and use it near the tree, close to Remulos. Once done, talk to Tajarri, the NPC there to complete the quest..
This is a Horde-only Druid quest, and it is timed. You have 5 minutes to use the bauble at the Shrine of Remulos.
No, the WoW free trial only includes the original game. There are no expansions in the free trial. Also while playing a free trial account you are not able to receive mail, whisper other players (unless they have you as one of their friends), or talk in channels (i.e. Trade, General)
There is no 30 day trial- there is a free 10 day trial (during which you can level to 20, but cant trade nor talk in general channels). You can sign up for the 10 day free trial at the WoW site https://us.battle.net/account/creation/wow/signup/ What you are probably thinking of is the free 30 days of game time you get after you purchase the retail copy of the game.
A cool game. Way better than WoW, i thought Wow would be good because so many ppl played it..turned out to be the goodest and coolest game ever.
A trial account itself is not the issue, it's the installed program (client). Once you have that installed, and you have made an account with a private server, it will work regardless of you also having a trial account at Battle.net.
