the answer is no!. in Pokemon ruby they swaped the vs seeker for the pokenav trainers eyes after beating petalburg gym look on trainers eyes on your pokenav and if they have a pokeball symbol next to their name that means they want to battle it will give the trainers location and what they look like hope this helped :)

Turn on the pokedex and look at the list if you see blank spaces those are Pokemon you haven't seen yet, if you see a Pokemon's name but no pokeball that means you have seen it but you don't own it, if you see a Pokemon's name and a pokeball that means you have seen it and have owned it.
the name of the Pokemon on the cover of heart gold (the one that looks like a bird with a rainbow on it) is HO-OH
The name is Kurt and you only find him in Heartgold and Soulsilver.
Actually, I don't know in the Anime series, but you get to name him in the game.

You go to a computer in a Pokemon center and go to "trainer name's PC", and it should say Ball Capsules. Go to that, and blue pokeballs will appear on the top screen. Pick one, say Edit, and drag the seals onto the pokeball on the right
Go to your PokeNav,go to trainer's eyes and anyone with a blinking pokeball next to their name wants a rematch.
ash have seen legendaries from the whole world of Pokemon he only caught a mistic Pokemon that is half rare/legendary i forgot the name but it's just like a shinx but it's a dark Pokemon and it's evolution is just like a magic Pokemon because it teleports from distants places and it looks goofy and looks lazy
