What is the easiest way to kill elvarg on runescape?

Thank you for asking this question- I just finished this quest for the 3rd time, through much difficulty! I am the perfect person for this question!

First: I'd like to know if you are a Member or not. If you ARE NOT a Member, keep reading.

1.) If you don't know how to get there, go to the Port and go to the ship, and repair it using steel nails/planks. If you have tried it before and died, go to the Karamja ship, go in the volcano, and find Evelarg.

Okay. To kill Evelarg F2P, I need to know if you are 1 of 3 combat types. Here are the 3.

F2P Ranger: Don't even think about it. You can use a crossbow, but you'll have lots of difficulty trying to get a high enough level to kill it.

F2P Mage: I would get a high mage level, (59 would be the best.) There is a safespot, so sit there. Personally, it's fire attack isn't that great. If you can, protect from magic.

F2P Knight: Easiest way. Bring a rune chain, rune plate, rune scim, rune full helm. Don't forget strength potions.

It's reccomended for Knights that you have at least: 50+ Strength. 40+ Attack. 40+

Defense. With these it will be easy. With less- not so much.

If you are a member, this will be so easy.

Ranger: Maybe the best crossbow you can wield. (50+ or so.) Bring prayer potions and ranging potions if you're a lower level.

Mage: Same instructions as F2P.

Knight: Same instructions as earlier, but with super attack potions/super strength potions/ antifire potions if you're really worried. This is a piece of cake cb 45+.

Now, the alternative way which isn't as epic is to get any dagger p++. What you do is hit it until it is poisoned, and hide behind the rocks.
