Dual Shock 3 controllers can be purchased for less than full retail and run about $40-45 amazon also has a few bundled with games for the retail price of the controllers. OEM controllers are all the off brands that will work with the PS3 and are not the controller chosen by Sony for the PS3. Some are not wireless and others are not Bluetooth, but they are cheaper
If it's original depends on date of manufacture. . The term is misleading because There is also a company called OEM that makes new parts for older vehicles to factory specs. For example a bumper for a 70's Mustang-both are OEM, but the one made in the 70's is the only one truly original. The new ones are excellent but not original and might match exacly to the eye, but molds are not always the same either. Depends on if they survived or were redone to specs. . Purists prefer NOS parts or reconditioned older parts because on a restoration, date stamps, etc. which are not on the "repops" factor into your score. Also, even though quality is excellent, there is usually a minor difference somewhere.

No absolutely not, I would not recommend this controller to anyone who is a hardcore gamer. Spend the extra bucks on a OEM designed Rapid Fire controller. This controller is awesome in the programing but the feel to it is very cheap and the worst part is that Turtle Beaches do not work with the controller.

The main difference is the OEM (Original equipment manufacture) isn't in a box, no documentation, no accessories like cables or screws, usually cheaper. My CPU and all my HD are OEM. Never had a problem with them.
A OEM converter should bolt in exactly like the original, an after market may have to be cut and welded in.

If that is the only way it will work you can use it like that and sometimes you should try it without the charging cable because they have been know to start charging again and work without further problems. That is information about the PS3 Orginal equiptment Dual Shock 3 controller and not some OEM offbrand. BTW the controller is bluetooth
It is either you do not have it, or you need to install proper driver. Motherboard manufacture website. If you have OEM computer, you will have check producer's website instead.
