To start a basic auto attack, just right click on the mob/player you want to attack. This works a little differently depending on the class you play.
For melee and casters right clicking will start your basic auto attack. For melee this is good, not so much for casters.
For hunters, right clicking will either start your shooting auto attack or your melee auto attack, depending on the range from the target. If you are close to the target, you will melee auto attack, which is not so good for hunters, you need to get some distance on your target.
For all classes, your additional abilities and spells should be on your bars, and pushing those buttons should start the cast/ability you choose.
Your attack button flashing red most likely signifies that auto-attack is turned on (you are swinging your sword or axe) but that you are out of range of the target you are attacking. It depends of course on whether you use the standard interface or a customized UI.
In Windows, Warcraft is generally installed and also has an Uninstall utility. This can be found by either hitting the Windows button and going to the Warcraft 3 program; there should be an uninstaller as well. Alternatively, you can go to Start/Windows, and then the Control Panel. Go to the Software option, and find Warcraft 3 there. There should be a button that allows you to uninstall the game from here as well.
