Please, nobody post their deck lists here. No one deck is the best deck, although certain ones do have a better chance of succeeding than others. You can check out the top 8 or top 16 decks of some Shonen Jump tournaments; they should be easy to find on Google.
And as a caution to the inevitable person who says "But you're not being original, that means that your deck sucks or you're a bad player." Not the question. The question asked for the best deck, and the best decks are ones that have been proven time and time again to win.
This format, it would be Zombies, Blackwings, Lightsworns, Twilight, and Gladiator Beasts competing for the top spot. Plants, Gadgets, Chaos, STUN, and a few other decks come behind them, but not too far off.
And as another caution to the second inevitable person who posts a random deck here who's convinced that "My deck is the best deck!" It's not. Even Lightsworns, who have topped quite a few, if not the most, Shonen Jump tournaments, cannot be called the best deck. Every game is a combination of luck, skill, and play style. The job of the deck is to reduce that "luck" factor to as little as possible, making how you play decide the game. A champion with a Cloudian deck could beat a newbie with a Lightsworn deck.
There is no best deck. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
hi im another person hoo wants to improve this, accurate but not full answer; as fore-mentioned there is no best deck. you could have all the Egyptian gods and the best cards in the game, but you're never guaranteed to win. A good deck requires 3 things, dedication, self awareness and basic skill. What I mean by self awareness, is that you have to be constantly aware that your deck always needs changing, tweaking and perfecting. I personally think that everyone has there own style. I myself have 4 very powerful decks, but I am aware of the value of each one in order, to be the best you have to find your style. I tried the elemental heroes, and realized that they were good. but not good enough, I had to keep changing it, then I added the neo spacians, which helped but i was still being beaten too much. Then I equipped the destiny heroes to it, which made my deck much more powerful. You cant go too far either, I then added the evil heroes, and it totally screwed all my strategy up. What I'm trying to get at, is that everyone has there own style, I have weak monsters that together with spells traps and other monsters become twice as strong. There are so many different types of deck, it's really quite amazing. Now that I've found my perfect deck, No one I know can beat me. So try it all: power, effect, magic, when you find it i guarantee you'll win constantly.
I will just say what they said, there is no "perfect" deck, but you have to build a deck that fits YOUR style. The person above me uses weak monsters and effects to power them up, that is cool, I use strong monsters (1,800 attack 1,900 attack and over) and some lower monster with effect, I concentrate on having many monsters and equip cards, plus cards that I can get back such as "Horn Of The Unicorn" or "Malevolent Nuzzler" they CAN be a pain some times, and I most disagree with the first person that posted this, a perfect deck is not a deck someone else uses and wins multiple times, people use cards differently so you can have "the most powerful and perfect deck" and loose to a deck made by someone to their style, you don't build your strategy according to a deck you build your deck according to YOUR strategy, what would be the point of having that deck if you don't know how to use it, wasting cards in the wrong places or watching someone else use it and you copying them? Then YOU are not dueling he/She is, where is the fun? where is the duelist? so a perfect deck is YOUR perfect deck, not someone else's perfect deck, have fun building and making your deck better, it IS part of the fun you know
