Personally the best comic is "Sonic the Hedgehog #39" which was first printed in 1996. This is an 3 part story. It begins in issue #39, the second part in a sonic special "mecha madness #1" and ended in sonic issue #40. I would tell you about it, but I don't want to give away all the great parts of the story.
