Well, from my understanding 3DS Max and Maya by Autodesk are the main programs used to make Star Wars the clone Wars. Many people think that 3ds max is only used for Video Games and Maya is used for film. This is only half true. It all depends on the artist. I've discovered that one can use them both interchangeably. However, Max is easier to use. Plus you can use a different renderer to get better details. I'm not an expert though. I'm just an animator that happen to use both of these program for various things. Plus I've been to Autodesk website and seen lil advertisements that showed Star Wars images when I was looking into 3DS Max. You can also look it up on Google and it'll tell you a great deal of films that it's been used for.
