However, the makers of Pokemon decided to put celebi in a movie rather than in the anime. So the ball was left, hoping that people will eventually forget about it. Also on a side note the ball was allegedly to reappear in the next saga of the Pokemon series, but the controversial episode involved homosexual overtones that left the episode unfinished and forgotten.
