Napoleon Total War has Napoleons campaigns and battles which are fun, but in the Grand Campaign there are only 4 playable factions: France, Great Britain, Russia, and Prussia. Empire Total War doesn't have the special campaigns but it's Grand Campaign allows for MANY more playable factions and will last you a lot longer.

In terms of graphics and gameplay quality, Napoleon is probably the better game. On the other hand, Empire has more re-playability because it is features a much wider game, without the structure and story limits of Napoleon. For example, a NTW game is going to involve either fighting to stop France, or conquering as France. An ETW game lets you choose your own allies, enemies and expansion plans.

What is better Rome Total War or empire total war?
Empire total war is way better. Better graphics, more units can be played on the field, naval battles, no annoying dippolomats or merchants, 3 campaigns, you can sail off around the world and you are able to win battles only by skill not units. Rome total war is fun but, it is nothing compared to Empire total war. Empire Total War is however quite buggy (better now with patches though) and Rome TW seems to me to be a much more diverse one, with armies and gameplay changing greatly from faction to faction.
Will the dell inspiron 15r play napoleon total war?
Yes I bought both Empire Total War and Napoleon, and both games run well on it. I do have the 15r special edition, so my computer might be able to play the games a little better than a regular 15r. But yours should be able to play the games fluently on medium/high settings.
