To get a Mew with the Mew Glitch: * Get a Pokemon that knows Fly and can use it outside of battle. * Fly to Route 8 and, carefully avoiding the Gambler there, stand right in front of the door to the Underground Path. * SAVE THE GAME in case you mess up. * Take one step down and immediately press Start. You cannot have already battled the Gambler. If done correctly, the Gambler will not have time to see you before you press Start. This is where the save comes in handy. * Fly to Cerulean City. * Go up the Nugget Bridge and go to the trainer who has a lv. 17 Slowpoke and talks about going to a party on the S.S. Anne. * MAKE HIM WALK UP TO YOU otherwise the game could freeze. beat him. * Fly to Lavender Town and SAVE AGAIN. * Take the path to the West and hit B when the Start menu pops up. * You will be attacked by a lv. 7 wild Mew. This is your only chance to catch a Mew, so don't screw up.
