If you play dead while wearing the corpse camo in Metal Gear Solid 4, then PMC troops and other enemies like unmanned weapons will actually think Snake is dead.
So when the enemies come to check you out after you've begun playing dead, they'll look you over and say something like "enemy death confirmed," and then walk away and leave you alone.
