If its a ps3 then firstly try to press the PS button on your controller. If that works then turn off the system that way.
If not, try holding down the power button on your ps3.
If this doesn't work then switch it off at the back of the console.

from my experiences playing nba on both xbox and PlayStation nba 11 is much better on PlayStation 2. the quality is much better also faster. on xbox it freezes a lot and sometimes says the disk can not be read. on xbox you also have to download an up date that takes about 20 to 30 minutes. i would very prefer to get nba 11 on PlayStation 2 then on xbox. on PlayStation nba costs $14 on xbox it costs about $48. again I WOULD GET IT ON PLAYSTATION 2 ONLY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.
