They play clips and when you get all 3 of them you get a power up(max ammo,nuke,carpentor, times 2) in one of the rooms you go to after the electricity takes you to a room.
First off, to the person that typed the above answer, you are wrong. the rooms that the teleporter sends you to have random power ups on its own at random times. the movie reels are COMPLETELY pointless except to get a trophy. Listen to the true gamer people.
