the red rings are an internal problem the reason it happens is if you play your Xbox 360 to much and it overheats thus melting the chip inside another way to fix it is to wrap it in 2 or 3 towels and leave it on this will make it very hot leave it to cool down after 20 to 30 minutes then turn it off and leave it to cool down for 15 minutes and when you turn it back on again it should be fixed. although if you still have a warranty i would play it safe and call xbox CALL MICROSOFT!! ITS SAFE AND RELIABLE BUT MAKE SURE TO MAIL IT IN A BOX WITH CUSHION SO IT DOESNT GET DAMAGED
