well it all depends on which starter you have. Like i started with snivy, the grass Pokemon. He talks about fire and their weekness', so he had a lillypup and a fire type. Have fun. Its hard in the begining and gets harder. Its gunna have to take your Pokemon level 15-13 to kill him. 16-19 if you wanna just mess around. But be warned.
