Yes it was in the early 60's. It was very slow partner dance as implied in the name and you were very up close with your partner! What's more it was as popular with the girls as it was with the boys! I recall a song of the day with the title ' Everyone does the creep' Not the Radiohead version many years later but in a similar tempo. Oddly I have searched YouTube to find a version but to no avail. Quite frankly it was an excuse to get closer than you would in a waltz. It didn't last for long. However, in recent years there has evolved in the world of modern jive, a varient called 'blues jive' which is not far short of the creep but with more elaborate moves.

Concrete creep is defined as: deformation of structure under sustained load. Basically, long term pressure or stress on concrete can make it change shape. This deformation usually occurs in the direction the force is being applied. Like a concrete column getting more compressed, or a beam bending. Creep does not necessarily cause concrete to fail or break apart. Creep is factored in when concrete structures are designed.
