to get chaos emeralds in sonic advance 2, you must collect all seven special rings hidden in an act. if you hear a chirp-like sound(and see a golden circle below your ring count and elapsed time, that means you got one.anyway if you get all seven and clear the act, your character will keep running.note. if you die before reaching the goal, you have to recollect all seven! after the score goes down, they will start running very fast and the screen will turn white and say"special stage!"you must collect 300 rings before the time runs out.note.you must aviod the robot or you'll lose ten rings!if you make it, it wil say on the top of the screen "... got a chaos emerald"however, if you don't exit with 300 rings,at the top of the screen,it will say "special stage" and you won't get a chaos emerald.
