You must get a Yellow Wonderful from a competition or so and then you will trigger a little event with Charlie. Then after the event, you have unlocked the rice paddy! You can get rice or wheat from there, i don't remember which one... Anyway, hope i helped!

How do you get a child on harvest moon island of happiness?
After you get married upgrade your house to the largest size. Then buy the Child's Bed from Chen's Shop (it should be available if you have been married for 30 days). After that keep your spouse happy and just wait to get the pregnancy event.
Can you do a heart event over again on harvest moon island of happiness?
Just save before you do the heart event then once it's over turn off your ds and turn it back on......load the saved file and walk 2 wherever the heart event was......u can do this multiple times.....actually however many times u want 2
