In certain stages of the games, each character can get an extra item called a Mystic Melody. They are the only way you can get through the extra stage of finding the lost chao. You play the mystic melody at the ruins and do what you gotta do. You just got told by a 14 year old kiddo.

Usually, you find the Lost Chaos where you do Mystic Melody or whatever it is (You know, where you play the flute at the 'old ruins' like sonic says). You play the flute and go on the obstacles and you see a chao!!! But if you get the chao, it does NOT go to your Chao Garden.

Sonic Adventure and Sonic adventure 2 were based off the anime series "Sonic X". As for sequels, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 is very similar in gameplay. And finally I wouldn't expect a multiplayer function any time soon, those games are just too old, and judging by the recent Sonic games I'd say that SEGA have moved away from the "adventure" style and have focused on a more basic style (sonic colors and sonic generations are a good example of this new game style). So I wouldn't expect a "Sonic Adventure 3" or a multiplayer function any time soon.
