I don't think it is possible to download only the information on disc one. However, if you go to their website (www.worldofwarcraft.com) and login then you can download the original World of Warcraft as well as both expansions. If, for some reason, you have problems with your computer downloading such a large file then i recommend that you go to www.fileplanet.com or some other file sharing website and find a download that will allow you to download the game in smaller sections.
