A PSP 3000 technically can boot up with a Pandora Battery, but it won't read any special memory stick created to attempt to use service mode. Simply because the IPL won't run on the PSP 3000 due to the newer motherboards and added protection Sony implemented. So you can't do anything, it will just boot up and sit on a black screen forever.
You can't, even with the battery.
NO NOT IF YOU HAVE A NEWER PSP 2000 OR 3000 AND GO but older psp 2000 and all 1000 can downgrade with Pandora battery then hack it and then download 6.35 cfw and install
custom firm ware is a modification of the psp that lets you use cheats, put ps1 games in the psp ,and much more. you can get custom firmware by makeng a Pandora battery and a magic memmory stick.(for psp 2000,and older)......for psp 3000 you have to get hue or somthing like that .
Take the battery out and behind it it will say on the actual psp.
Yes the psp 1000 has a fatter battery than the other two models. the fat battery will work on psp 2000 and 3000 but the battery cover wont close.
Pandora Battery is a TOOL to GAIN Service Mode Access for the PSP. That's it. Now PSP 3000 ARCHITECTURE is Different from PSP 1000/2000. However, when a Pandora battery is inserted in the PSP, it does TRY to Activate the Service Mode, But PSP 3000 doesn't let it. Conclusion: Do not Throw Out Or Convert your Pandora Batteries (into normal ones) Just Yet. You may find it useful in the Future. In technical Terms: Pandora Battery can only "Activate" the Service Mode. There is no IPL to penetrate & overwrite the NAND-FLASH0.
You can't, even with the battery.
I really don't know. All I know after many searching the only way to do that is Pandora battries. I don't want to do this Pasndora battries thing. Answer 2: If its a PSP 3000, then the only way you be able to downgrade is if you ship it in to the Pandora battery company and let them downgrade it to 5.02 or sell your PSP 3000 for a PSP 2000 or 1000 and buy a Pandora Battery Pandora battery is used to go into recovery mode every time you power up the PSP. It does not screw up your PSP.
Original Description:The Pandora battery is a PSP peripheral that is intended to 'flash' the PSP back to a factory default firmware setting. This, paired with an accompanying memory stick program, makes it possible to take an updated PSP, downgrade it then reupgrade it with a customized firmware update. One of the more attractive things about this battery/memory stick setup is the ability to recover a 'bricked' device. This is, however, unsanctioned by Sony and likely to void the warranty on your device.Additional Description:A Pandora Battery is a specially modified psp battery solely used for booting the psp into service mode allowing the user to flash the motherboard, and install custom firmware to it. A Pandora battery is required to unbrick or downgrade a PSP 1000 or 2000. The PSP 3000 only requires a memory stick for temporary custom firmware. No, you can't. And even with a Pandora Battery, you cannot downgrade the 3000 or the late 2000 model.
Use Pandora battery and Magic Memory Stick and wait till it is 30 seconds in. Then after EXACTLY 30 seconds take out THE PANDORA BATTERY FIRST THEN THE MEMORY STICK, boot the psp up the screen will stay off for a couple of seconds but then will turn on, hope that answers your question

go to gamestop and ask them if they have a psp 3000 battery if not then shop online.
No, Pandora Batteries (the only known way to downgrade PSPs) do not work with the PSP-3000, and, as such, you can not downgrade it.
The milli-amp-hours rating has nothing to do with the voltage. The rating should be something like 3000 mah at 12V or 3000 mah at 1.5V. One common 3000 mAh battery is 3.0 volts; another is 3.7 volts. A common camcorder battery is 7.4 volts. Some DeWalt tools use 12 V 3000 mAh batteries.
Which does the trouble belong to? Is it your Acer Aspire 3000 laptop? Or is your laptop Acer Aspire 3000 battery hot? .
[EDIT] Though if you don't want to get a Pandora's battery or your can't afford to it, or you can't ask a friend for one, simply follow this tutorial. It's recommended that you follow ALL steps very carefully because this method will do your normal battery into a Pandora battery and it is called HardMod. Hard modding will remove PIN 5 off of your battery and will be difficult to put back on if you want to revert back to normal. FOR PSP SLIM: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ3EZ11ltA0 *FOR PSP FAT: *NOT AVAILABLE* (sorry i gotta get that method) but you have slim method so you can downgrade most of the newest products out there, (slims etc etc) don't know if works with 3000's nor other versions. **You need: Magic Memory Stick. Simply run Rain's Lite MMS Maker to create a Magic Memory Stick.
