when you get given the 5 poke balls catch a Pokemon, the deposit the starter Pokemon you chose and change box, while the box is changing you will need to save the game, when it comes up 'saving don't turn off the power' you turn it off. then go to start new game and pick a different starter Pokemon, go to the box and the one you deposited will be there :)
