There are cases with individual slots for each game. You can search google using the words "DS game case organizer" or look for the DS G-pack, which is a big case that has slots for each game.

Of course not, it is an electrical device! Actually my brother has washed his ds game a couple of times in the washer and it still worked. Just don't wash it if you can avoid it, multiple washings will more than likely destroy it.
