I would imagine not. Any games that were originally scheduled to be released for the PS2 will probably still be released. Games that are extremely popular such as grand theft auto will be released on the PS2 but any PS2-exclusive games are probably no longer in development unless the developing company is under contract with Sony to complete any remaining game obligations. For example, if a company is contracted to publish games with Sony, and the company planned to start a game production in January 2007, then that game should still get released. Keep in mind that the PS2 is slowly being phased out due to PS3 release so you can probably expect that games will stop being released by the end of 2008 or sometime in 2009 or 2010.
AND GRAND THEFT AUTO IS RELEASED NOW
GTA 4 was not released for the PS2
The last game for the USA market I saw released was in September 2011. There could still be more PS2 releases, but no exclusive PS2 games will ever be developed again. Sony is not the only PS2 game developer and my answer is about all PS2 games not just the Sony Releases
There is 5000 games in ps2 console and they are still making games
if you bought games in Germany or the ps2 in Germany of course they will still work sony is the only one who makes ps2's
no they don't, Wii is made my Nintendo and the ps2 is made by Sony, it wouldn't be in there interest to spend money on making there competitors games run on their own console.
No the new PS3 slim can not play PS2 games. To make the PS3 profitable and have it quit selling for a loss Sony stopped making PS3s that could play PS2 games long before the release of the PS3 slim. The only reason you could ever play PS2 games on the first PS3s was the game catalog for the PS3 was next to nothing. Once the catalog of games increased they dropped the ability to play PS2 games.
No. Games are released as long as there is a market. New games are not developed unless they are purchased. The PS2 is still releasing a few new versions of multiple platform games and is still selling new games that were released in the past and the PSP will do the same for many years.
They are not still making the Playstation only the PS2 PS3 PSP and PS Vita
There is 5000 games in ps2 console and they are still making games
No and they never willNot yet but I have Heard a rumor that sony are making a ps3 that can play ps1, ps2 and ps3 games
You buy games for your PS2 and do not get to just make your own with some simple program. Making a PS2 game requires a license from Sony.
if you bought games in Germany or the ps2 in Germany of course they will still work sony is the only one who makes ps2's
They are still releasing PS2 versions of Multiple platform games. They are not making releases of new games exclusively for the PS2 and many of the multiple platform releases have stopped making a PS2 version because of low sales for the previous release. Sony reported only 2.5million sales over the 2011 holiday quarter for sales of all PS2 software titles worldwide
i heard sony is gonna stop making ps2 in Jan 2010 is that true?No there are games being released this year, but many less than in years past.
no, theres not. sony is gonna stop making ps2 games next year (2008). so madden 08 is the latest one for it.
Yes, ps2 games are still being made. I am not sure when ps2 games are not going to be made anymore.
Yes some Video Game series still are making PS2 game versions with the other versions of game consoles being released. No one is making PS2 exclusive games for release or releasing existing games in a PS2 format
you can not ps2 is made by sony ds are made by Nintendo
Hell yes, its like saying will they keep producing ps1 and ps2 games...
