There are lot of rumors for a 2013 release date. I'm sure if there's a community of people desiring it, then Sega will resurrect the Dreamcast.
If Sega releases Shenmue 3, on the Xbox 360/PS3 or XBLA/PSN, I believe there will not be a Dreamcast 2 anytime soon.
Either way, it proves to Sega that people are still purchasing older Sega consoles and games, thus displaying the demand for a Dreamcast successor...

No, there never will be. Sega is a 3rd party developer and it will stay that way. They have no intention of making another console. If they did, you'd have to kiss every post-2001 SEGA game goodbye. It's a horrible decision either way, they'd be losing publishing rights to Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and others. The Dreamcast wasn't 100% successful anyways. It would be a waste of time and money. Sega will never, and I repeat never go back to console producing. This means that idiots shouldn't think Ringwide/Ringedge are the Dreamcast 2. It's just new arcade hardware.
