Uhh not exactly, caterpie is one of the lower pokemons being that it is un-evolved but if you evolve it into metapod then to butterfree you'll have a decent pokemon. Although butterfree is still not a good combat pokemon, it's better for paralyzing, poisoning, and weaking the opponent.
