"This thread concerns two problems I experienced with the GOTY Edition of Batman Arkham Asylum. I was not able to start the game. First, the menu of the preferences was unreadable due to a error message with some bla bla like ".Net Framework error"....and the game start has been canceled due to a "General Protection Error"...many persons have exactly those problems. I did a few steps that helped me, but I don't know which one exactly gave me the solution. Repeat it and post, if it helped you. 1st step: Open C:\Programm Files (x86)\nvidia corporation\physx\common .... copy the 4 *.dll-files and paste them into the batman GOTY\binaries folder... 2nd step: Open \batman GOTY\bmgame\config folder ... open the defaultengine file and search for [SystemSettings] DetailMode=2 ResX=1680 ResY=1050 Fullscreen=True AllowD3D10=True Change them as seen here...put your right resolution here, mine was 1680x1050, change fullscreen and d3d10 to true. then change menu resoultion: [SystemSettingsEditor] ResX=1680 ResY=1050 ....I hope this helps you. Of course you need newest version of all your drivers and games for windows.....but orher threads already mentioned this. I use NET framework 4 with Windows 7 x64...." first the commissioner being killed is only an illusion second go to the left of the hall and yull be in the morgue go back through the door to be back in the morgue (another illusion) there will be three bags that hold bodies, open them. the first one youll open is bruces father the second will be his mother the third will be Scarecrow, a scary batman villian, and hell freak you out.. with all of them open turn around and youll be in yet another illusion simply jump onto the gap and youll come across Scarecrow again but now a threat. youll also notice his gaze the bright light shining from his eyes avoid the gaze as it will get you killed you can avoid the gaze by hiding behinf walls or other objects youll have to keep going until you come across a spotlight come closer to it and press the run/action button and Scarecrow will be knocked out. (youll come acrooss him two more times. the third one is obviusly weird)
