It is slightly louder than the guitar controller's clicking sound. It sort of depends on how into it the player is and how hard they are hitting the pads. It is nowhere near the volume of a real drum set, as the pads on the controller are rubber.

No, Unfortunately. You cannot use the Guitar Hero drum set with the Rockband Beatles Edition. You cannot do so because First of all, the drum set is for a whole different game and has two extra colors. Rockband only has four, Guitar Hero has all six colors on the drums.
