Costs for any skill levels vary depending on the methods you use.

Remember to ALWAYS use the cooking gauntlets gained from the Family Crest quest. If you do not have these, I would not recommend training cooking.

I recommend cooking:

Levels 1-5 anchovies

Levels 5-10 herring

Levels 10-15 mackerel

Levels 15-25 trout

Levels 25-50 salmon

Levels 50-65 tuna

Levels 65-80 lobster

Levels 80-94 monkfish

Levels 94-99 shark (Alternatively, you can replace sharks with rocktails, rocktails mean faster leveling, and a bit more profit, but they cost more initially)

Levels 1-5: You will need to cook 13 anchovies. Raw anchovies cost 46 gold each. So, it will cost 598 gold. Cooked Anchovies sell for 56 gold each. Assuming you burn no anchovies, you will gain a profit of 130 gold for levels 1-5. So far, total cost = -130. (so 130 gold profit) Further costs will be calculated in the same way.

Levels 5-10: You will need to cook 16 herring. Cost(640) - Profit(352) = 288. So far, total cost = 158 gold.

Levels 10-15: You will need to cook 21 mackerel. Cost(504) - Profit(189) = 315. So far, total cost = 473 gold.

Levels 15-25: You will need to cook 78 trout. Cost(3120) - Profit(3354) = -234 So far total cost = 239 gold.

Levels 25-50: You will need to cook 1039 salmon. Cost(128,836) - Profit(135,070) = -6234 So far, total cost = -5995 gold.

Level 50-65: You will need to cook 3,481 tuna (Yikes!). Cost(577,846) - Profit(560,441) = 17,405. So far, total cost = 11,410 gold.

Level 65-80: You will need to cook 12,806 lobsters. Cost(5,596,222) - Profit(4,968,728) = 627,494. So far, total cost = 638,904 gold.

Level 80-94: You will need to cook 39,724 monkfish. Cost(25,105,568) - Profit(25,185,016) = -79,448. So far, total cost = 559,456.

Level 94-99 (Sharks): You will need to cook 24,238 sharks. Cost(39,629,130) - Profit(41,059,172) = -1,430,033. So far, total cost = -870,577.

Level 94-99 (Rocktails): You will need to cook 22,622 rocktails. Cost(61,147,266) - Profit(63,499,954) = -2,352,577. So far, total cost = -1,793,232.
