The prize is always won, but you must claim the prize before the next day or you lose it. You must also have a valid spin ID number. Of course the prize also is increased by 50,000 dollars if you also have a valid Sony Credit Card. When I went to the site for Wheel of Fortune I counted over 250 winners of prizes that were named with only a first name and first initial of the last name. That was not for all the prizes only certain ones and I don't believe it was all the winners over the past years. The Web site also has other prizes that people win both daily and monthly that use points earned to obtain chances for prizes If you don't win the points are returned. One of the ways in which points are earned is by answering the Bonus or final puzzle. These Web Site prizes were not included in the count of 250 winners. The Wheel of Fortune site says that they now have over 5 million members as of May 2009 and have given away 2.1 million dollars of prizes to the members of the Wheel Watchers Club.
