first of all i would use yews and string them so you get 150 xp per bow (once strung) and you make 23 gp a bow which is very good.
from 70 fletching till 90 fletching i have used over 30000 yew logs and strung then so it takes maybe 1-2 weeks (2-3 hours a day)
Fletching can be very boring so you must be patient!
hope this helps!
I would strongly recommend using diffrent logs if you can but otherwise it probably would take at least maby 2m 1m logs which i have no clue i just like to help people with runescape
Investing money into Logs appropriate for making the highest level Longbows you can, as well as investing in bow strings, but this can become very costly.
If your not cheating, then the fastest way is to buy high level logs and fletch them. Since arrows and bows are sellable you'll be loosing only some of the money.
For this type of question, use an online RuneScape skill calculator. Thus, you can not only get the experience for "maple logs / 99 firemaking", but also quickly experiment with other target levels, and other types of logs. There is one at Salmoneus' site (runescape.salmoneus.net); but there are others, too.
Using Fletching and depending on the arrow you want to make, you cut some normal logs then use a knife on them to make arrow shafts, you then add feathers to the arrows shafts then the arrow heads of the arrow you want to make to complete them.
First, you have to be a full mem. Second, you have to have a knife and logs. All you do is use the knife on the logs.
Mainly Yew & Magic logs -fletching/firemaking reasons. Edit by Eng1sh: Due to the recent drop of the Maple logs in their value (from 44 gold pieces each to now about 36-39 gold pieces each) I would say that Maple logs are probably the most selling log in Runescape. Many players find them to be the best logs to burn for 99 Firemaking because of the better experience yield as opposed to Willow logs. They also give good experience for the Fletching skill, and many are sold everyday. Yew and Magic logs are typically too expensive to be traded on a mass-scale, and therefore Maple logs can be sold in greater bulk.
2,114 Maple logs ( making maple longbows )4,227 Maple logs ( making maple longbows (u) )
96,551. :) good luck
One of the mysteries of Runescape is that Maple Logs can be burned by all players, but can only be cut by members. There are no Maple trees in the free world, sorry.
maple trees in member spot: in camelot but in free there are maple logs only
you can burn maple logs on runescape, but you can not cut them. EDIT: actually you can, you need 30 dungeoneering, but there u can cut/burn them.
1,187 - making willow short-bow's (u), may require less if you change to willow longbows (u) when you get to 40 fletching.
you would have to burn 96,551 maple logs and you need 13,034,366 experience to go. Hope this helped.
IMHO, i think it is firemaking, it costs at most about 3Million to buy the logs and it takes about a month to do. However, fletching is this way aswell
