A little bit above 1 GB
Minecraft's recommended amount of specs is to have at least 1 GB of space, however the absolute bare minimum is 500MB. With 3 - 4GB's, you should be good to play on some higher settings!
You only need one, but you would need lots of DDR3 (RAM), maybe 2+ GB.
Depends on how much RAM you have if you have a good amount 6 gigabytes or more is pretty good for minecraft than you can search how to dedicate ram to minecraft. Or just watch this video...
You can also play on any other computer. (Windows, Mac OSX, Linux) Please note that Minecraft requires at least 1 GB of RAM. Minecraft is out on Xbox 360 and smart phones too.

Minecraft uses about 500 megabytes of RAM to play, that can vary if you change the settings.
Gigabytes?! It should NOT be much, unless it is a combination of 1,000s of minecraft mods. Minecraft mods take up very little space. Just be sure to have winrar or 7zip.

The latest version of Minecraft 1.8 (10/24/2014) is under 20 Megabytes but increases in size as you play, the world is infinitely growing as you explore so the size of the game can be quite different for two people.

yes if you have enough gigabytes and money in your iTunes account
It requires very little space, maybe around 15 MB to start, but can get up into the gig's if you have a lot of different world saves. The single player world saves are in your ".minecraft" folder ("Application Support/ minecraft" for Mac).
