Yes, you can. All xbox 360 accessories (av cable, ethernet cable, memory unit, controllers, etc.) and games work with all versions of the xbox 360. The only exclusion I know is the HDMI cable which only works with Xbox 360s with built in HDMI port (all xbox 360s versions currently being sold have HDMI ports).
39 million XBOX 360's have been sold worldwide as of January 6, 2010.
the xbox 360 sold over 8 million more. I personally prefer this. The PS3 has sold 48 million plus and the Xbox 360 has sold 50 Million. The PS3 has been selling more since the prices for them dropped and that is why they were once 8 million behind. PS3 has forecast passing Xbox 360 in total sales during 2012
Xbox 360? 25 million. Regular Xbox? More than 25 million. However, realize it took the Xbox 5 years to reach that, and the 360 has only been out for 2 years. This helped: http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/11/25/xbox-360-hits-25-million-consoles-sold-a-full-2-years-faster-than-original-xbox/
The Xbox (R) and Xbox 360 (R), were created, and sold by Microsoft corporation.

Whew, as more are being sold every week (and possibly every day) it's impossible to tell exactly. Based on figures from the NPD Group, as of November 1, 2008 Microsoft managed to sell 11.6 million Xbox 360s in America. (2008 -11-01)[update] That number is probably much higher by now. If you were asking about the sixth generation Xbox console, according to Microsoft as of May 10, 2006 they had sold 16 million in North America before the console was discontinued.
65 million have been sold since November 2006 and that is a couple million less than the Xbox 360 total sales since November 2005
