it should be an automatic thing in which you will only encounter that Pokemon if it isn't working you may not have the master code enabled if you don't have that enabled it wont work.
Like the guy who answered before me said, u nees to have it enabled. but, it doesn't work automatically. first of all go to a grassy path .to use it you have to go to the calculator poketch app and type in the national dex # of the Pokemon you want (for example, arceus in # 493). then click L. after that you clear it. then type in what level you want it to be ( for example, i want the arceus to be level 100). then click R. don't clear it. walk into the grass and voila! the Pokemon that you want is there. i sugget you also get a code forr 990x all pokeballs and 100% catch rate. hope this helped!
