You just plug in the receiver in Port 1. Then you turn on your PS2 and the Guitar and it's receiver will connect by them self..
Some of the guitars have reset switches. If it does not have one you can unplug the guitar from your gaming system and take out the batteries. The controller should reset itself once you put the batteries back into it. The controller also resets if anytime you turn the system on and off while the guitar is on and attached.
More clarification is needed to answer properly. What I mean to say is that the answer will vary based on several elements.Which game do you have? Rockband? or Guitar Hero?Is the Guitar you are trying to sync an official Rockband or Guitar Hero guitar? or is it a third party off brand model. If its a Rock Band guitar I have the exact answer for you otherwise its all guesswork on my part. Your guitar comes with a guitar adapter in the box should be a gray square with a little usb cord sticking out the Guitar should be wireless so batteries or a type of rechargable battery pack are needed.Step 1plug guitar adapter into USB port on front of PlayStation 3Step 2 Turn PlayStation 3 and Guitar on (on off switch on the back middle of the guitar.Step 3 press the clear circle PlayStation 3 button on the guitar as well as the small gray button on the Rock band guitar adapter (it should be on the top side with the rock band logo and guitar symbol etched in (very hard to see)I hope this answers your question properly
this answer is for xbox 360 turn your xbox 360 on hold down the sync button on your xbox 360 hold down th sync button of the guitar AT THE SAME TIME AS HOLDING DOWN THE SYNC BUTTON ON YOUR XBOX 360 when both the lights on your xbox 360 and your guitar are flashing, then release BOTH buttons. the guitar and console should now be synced up with each other. hope this helps ;P
Unplug it. You can't use the analog controller for guitar on that game.
turn it on
There is a power switch on the guitar
First turn the guitar on and then connect it to the wireless receiver
That is impossible in the PS3 version. For the Xbox 360 you merely turn on the guitar.
you turn of the console
Its quite simple turn the PS3 and sync it with the PS3 and then its connected with the PS3
Yes, the guitar controller form Guitar Hero 3 is compatible with Guitar Hero 4 (World Tour). Just turn on the wii-mote in the guitar controller and it should recognize it in the game. Keep in mind that only one player can be the guitarist and the other has to play the bass guitar. Hope this helps... have fun and ROCK ON!!!
If the controllers are for the same system then just plug it in or turn it on and play.

It Depends what guitar you have. If it is wireless then plug the receiver into the slot in the PS2 where you would normally plug in your games controller. If it is not wireless I would guess that you plug it into the USB cable place. The will turn on when you turn the PS2 on. (to turn on the guitar, press the START button)
