Hold down SHIFT, CTRL, C all at the same time and a small window at the top of your screen should appear. Now that you've done this you can type in this space. Enter:
aging off
And the Sims you are playing as will no longer get any elder. If you one day would like your Sims to begin prgressing in age again enter the opposite:
aging on
