In most cases, the puzzle has few alternatives. If the puzzle is four quadrants with one blank, then you must solve for the fourth (or blank) quadrant. A couple of things to remember... Unless the sign is given differently, this puzzle will always be an addition problem.
In the example in the discussion area, we are solving for the lower left quadrant. In the right hand column, given that it is addition, the sum of 50 and 30 is 80. Now SUBTRACT the 25..remember this is addition, so we need to subtract for the missing number...and you have 55.
