How do you save your game on Pokemon Pearl when there is already a saved game file?

In the PC Emulator, click on 'File' (top left)
Then select 'Save State'
From the drop-down menu, save onto any slot
Now when you open the particular game ROM in the emulator,
just go to 'File'; 'Load State'; then whichever slot you used for saving your game previously.

Over written means to save over your already saved file. For example...If I was playing Pokemon (which I dont) and I caught a mouse and saved. There would be a saved file. But then, If I caught a bear, I would save again over the first save file, so that I would have the mouse and the bear.

well i had this problem once. if its on the emulator u have 2 make a copy of the Pokemon pearl or diamond file and paste it in the battery file that is created when u downloaded the vba file. then save ur game and restart it and ur file will be saved.

I think your reading the message wrong, what it's trying to tell you is there is a file already existing meaning you have already saved all you need to do is overwrite it with the current game your playing.
