First you have to beat 7 gym leaders (the 7th is on Cinnibar Island). Then Bill will come and take you to One Island. Go down to the boat and the man will take you to Three Island. Then go northwest to Berry Forest. When you get to the end of the forest, you will see a little girl. Talk to her then defeat Hypno. Then go to her house (the game corner on Two Island) and talk to her dad. Then go to Bill and Celio on One Island. You then will be able to go back to Kanto. Then make sure you own 60 ore more Pokemon in your Pokedex. Once you do that talk to Professor Oak in Pallet Town and he will update your Pokedex to the national version. Then go to Vermilion City and take the boat to One Island. Talk to Celio and then go up to Mt. Ember. Go to the Team Rocket dudes and battle them. When you beat them, go into the cave. Find the ruby and take it back to Celio. Then he will give you a Rainbow Pass. Now you will be able to take the boat to Four Island and go to the day care. At the day care, you can put in two Pokemon.
