Take an adult to the sandbox. Drop on the doorknob that is in the sandbox. You'll notice that the door is locked, you'll find the key under the welcome mat in front of the house.
The adult will go the shed to fix the door. Once the door is fixed, take the adult and place them on the fire extinguisher that is in the shed. They will then automatically head to the oven fire to put it out.

Drag them on the front door mat, then they should grab the key and go to the shed and unlock it. If you want to put out a fire, drag him/her over the fire extinguisher and they will immediately run to the fire and it will put out the fire. If you just drag him/her out of the mat, they will be confused. That is why you MUST get the doorknob first.

All you have to do to start a fire on any of the virtual villagers is find the dry grass and the wood. After that you put a villager on the place where you see the dead grass/wood they will collect it and bring it to the fire place.
