If in single player, I don't think you name your wolf, but you can name your "mate" and "pups", in multiplayer, you go to the Wolfquest website, and register on the forums under 'Community'. They will verify your account, then you go play on multiplayer, type in your account info, and that name will appear over your wolf character while playing. You can RP, and say, "My name is Storm, boy, leader of this pack. I have a black coat and green eyes."
Can you play Wolf Quest offline?
Yes, but you cannot play multiplayer games and you cannot get updates if you play offline.

in single player you bite the bear three times for it to run away and in multiplayer it runs when you go up to it
