To get a infinite item (an item that can not be deleted from your inventory, alas giving infinite of an item/block) you require these things.

[WARNING: This may take several tries!!! Timing is strict!]

TNT [About 16]

Dispensers [About 16]

ITEM OF UR CHOICE [About 1-2] I am going to use a diamond.

Place a dispenser somewhere, put your item in the dispenser.

Break the block "BELOW" the dispenser.

Place a block of TNT there.

Ignite the TNT (or set it off)

Quickly open your dispenser, and when the timing is right (timing = when the tnt is about to explode, requires about 3 ticks left [1/7 of a second]) take the diamond out, if this works well it should drop 2 diamonds, (the diamond you put in, or the INFINITE diamond).

IF THIS METHOD DOES NOT WORK, START OVER, THAT IS WHY YOU NEED MULTIPLE OF THE ITEMS!!!
