First you must obtain the national pokedex from Professor Oak. Then you put firered in the bottom slot of your DS and platinum in the top. Turn on the game and choose platinum. In platinum DO NOT CHOOSE THE GAME, CHOOSEMIGRATE POKEMON. You can choose any Pokemon in the GBA game's computer. Once you transfer six, the highest amount you can transfer per 24 hours, choose the game. After you're in the game, go to Pal Park, and you can re-catch all of the Pokemon you chose to transfer(if you transfer any sea Pokemon, take a Pokemon who can surf, you'll need it). If you don't catch one, don't worry, you can try for again at another time, they will hold it until you catch it.
