It'll probably cost less to just buy a toy one to be honest but you'll need to double layer the cardboard then cut out the outline of the cards then decorate it and put a plastic strap on it. Its easier to buy it from Hasbro

Making a duel disk out of paper would not be too stable, but if it were made of corrugated cardboard, it could hold up. if you have any old card sleeves, you can cut them in half, and glue them onto a custom made playing field, on the top for the Monsters, and on the bottom, for the spells and traps. If you are referring to real life, there are no duel runners so you can't purchase one. (But there was one made as a promo for Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's). Maybe they will make a duel runner but it will be just a bike modified to look like one plus you even be able to get a duel disk and put it in.

Does a yuhgi oh duel disc project holograms?
No. It is a toy. All it does is rip up the edges of the card and make you look stupid if you try and play Yu-Gi-Oh in public. Also if the cards have protective sleeves they wont fit into the duel disk.
