How do you know if you can activate or set a spell or trap card on Yu-Gi-Oh?

regular spell cards can be activated only on your turn, quick play spell cards can be set then activated during your opponents or your turn, and spell cards with the infinity sign are treated like regular spell cards but stay on the field until it is destroyed traps cannot be activated from you hand they must first be set then activated on your next turn or your opponents turn knowing when to activate these spell or trap cards is tricky you have to know when to activate them or they will end up not helping you out at all

no you have to have a field spell in your deck otherwise it would say you may or you can add a field spell to your hand from your deck You are obliged to know the content of your own deck, and know what cards are left in it (by looking at what has been drawn already). You cannot activate an effect that tries to search for a card that you know it will not be able to find.

Goddess Skuld's Oracle, Goddess Urd's Verdict, and Goddess Verdandi's Guidance Skuld lets him look at the top 3 cards of the opponent's deck and rearrange them however he wants. Verdandi lets him guess what kind of card is on the top of his deck (monster, spell, trap) and if he's right, it is Set in the appropriate zone. Urd lets him pick a face-down card controlled by the opponent, and if he can guess its name, it is banished. So, Zigfried would use Skuld to know what card was on the top of the deck, use Verdandi to have it placed on the field, and Urd to banish it.

The damage application depends on the situation, if you used the spell card you got from graverobber for a cost to activate another card, you will take the 2000 points of damage before the card resolve in this situation if that cards activation is negated you do not re-gain your 2000 points of damage. If you activated the spell card you got from graverobber you take the 2000 points of damage when that spell card resolve, that is why you do not take the 2000 points of damage if that spell card got his activation negated because in that case it would not resolve. You still take the damage if only the effect of that spell card is negated because the spell card still resolve. No - you must activate it with HSBC directly. They need to know (a) you've received the card and (b) that you are the legitimate account holder !

You cannot activate a card that will 'do nothing', and you are also supposed to know the contents of your own deck. This goes for all search cards, if there is nothing left in deck for the card to add to your hand, then you can't activate the card.

You have to download special cards from online play. There are certain cards you can only get online and no where in card packs. By the way, how did you open all card packs?
