first,
go gather seeds by breaking pieces of long grass... the seeds only come every few pieces that you break...
next,
make a hoe by opening the crafting table and putting sticks in the bottom middle square then the one above that. then put a wood plank in the top middle and top left squares...
next,
go to a grass (or dirt) block with your hoe and right click (left trigger if xbox) and it should make the ground ready for planting....
next,
get your seeds in your hand then right click and they will be planted.... also, if you put water in the ground next to the seeds (or plant the seeds near water in the first place) they will grow faster
and bone meal works as a fertilizer
