I've died on sims games before and have still been able to play as a ghost, but you can't talk only haunt but i thnk if you can get them to talk to you i guess you can, and on sims 3 I've met some ghosts, so yeah You can also now create ghosts in create a sim with the new expansion pack, Supernatural. You can also resurrect sims using the opportunity or the genie wish.

You can acually only get married once you have completed the "get 10sims planting at once mission" Because then your next mission is to get engaged and once this happens you go home and it comes up in the bar, like when you make sims talk and kiss, it will say propose and a bunch a rings come up and then you are engaged
