You need the poke Flute. You can acquire this by climbing the Pokemon tower in Lavender town. However, to access this, you need the silph scope from the silph corp building in saffron city. Once you have the flute, play it at the snorlax, and it will wake up and attack. Catch it or do what you will. Also the best way to ctach it is to have a lv. 50 charizard, a lv. 25 lapras, and lv.25 eevee. Oh yea, also have a pikachu any lv so you can paralize it. Charizard should know flamethrower, snorlax will you rest then use a chesto berry so repeat this process one more time then catch it. Have tons of great balls with you and you should be good.
