I forget name of city but its the city with misty as gym leader in Kanto. north of city there are the six pack trainers, defeat them and move forward. You will come across a Bill's house, and his dad will be in there. Talk to him and he will want you to show him an oddish for a leaf stone, then a growlith for a firestone, then jigglypuff for a moonstone(or everstone cant remember). Then finally a pikachu for a thunderstone. There may be other ways but that's only way i know of.
